  • Interfere with the functionality of the Site.

6. Payments and Transactions

  • Payments on the platform are processed securely through PayChangu.
  • Buyers and Vendors agree to comply with all payment terms and conditions.
  • THRIFT 265 is not liable for disputes arising from transactions but will mediate where possible.

7. Shipping and Delivery

  • THRIFT 265 is a marketplace that connects Vendors and Buyers.
    We are not responsible for:

    • Direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from the
      use of the Site.

10. Intellectual Property

  • All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by or licensed to THRIFT 265.
  • You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any content without prior written consent.

At THRIFT 265, we are committed to ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our users. This Refund and Return Policy(“Policy”) outlines the terms and conditions under which Buyers and
Vendors must operate regarding refunds, returns, and exchanges.


2. Scope

This Policy applies to all purchases made
on the THRIFT 265 platform. Both Buyers and Vendors must adhere to these terms
to maintain transparency and accountability.


3. Eligibility for Returns

A product is eligible for return if:

  • It was received in a damaged or defective condition.
  • It does not match the description or images provided by the Vendor.
  • It is unused, in its original packaging, and accompanied by the original invoice or proof of purchase.

Products that are not eligible for return
include:

  • Items marked as “Final Sale” or
    “Non-Returnable.”
  • Perishable goods, such as food and beverages.
  • Personal care items, such as cosmetics and undergarments,
    unless defective.
  • Customized or made-to-order items.

4. Return Timeframe

  • Buyers must initiate a return request within 2 days of receiving the product.
  • Requests submitted after this period will not be processed unless exceptional circumstances apply.

5. Return Process

  1. Submit a Return Request:
    • Buyers can initiate a return by logging into their account,
      selecting the order, and clicking “Request Return.”
    • The return request must include a detailed explanation and, if
      applicable, photographic evidence of the issue.
  2. Approval by Vendor:
    • Vendors must review the return request within 48 hours  and approve or deny it.
    • If the Vendor fails to respond, the matter will be escalated to THRIFT 265 for resolution.
  3. Shipping the Item Back:
    • Once approved, Buyers are responsible for shipping the item
      back to the Vendor unless otherwise stated.
    • Buyers must provide proof of shipment, such as a tracking
      number, within 3 days of approval.
  4. Inspection and Refund:
    • Upon receiving the returned item, Vendors have 2 days to inspect the product and process the refund.
    • If the product meets the return criteria, the refund will be
      processed through the original payment method.

6. Refund Process

  • Refunds will be processed within 3 business days of the Vendor’s confirmation of the returned item’s eligibility.
  • Refunds can only be issued to the original payment method (e.g., credit card, mobile money).
  • THRIFT 265 reserves the right to deduct any applicable transaction or processing fees from the refund amount.

7. Exchange Policy

  • Exchanges are subject to the Vendor’s discretion.
  • Buyers must follow the same process as outlined for returns to initiate an exchange.
  • If an exchange is unavailable, the Buyer may opt for a refund.

8. Non-Compliance

THRIFT 265 reserves the right to:

  • Deny refunds or returns that do not comply with this Policy.
  • Suspend or terminate accounts of Buyers or Vendors who frequently abuse the refund and return system.

9. Role of THRIFT 265

As a marketplace, THRIFT 265 facilitates
communication between Buyers and Vendors. While we strive to mediate disputes,
we are not liable for:

  • The quality or condition of the products sold.
  • Delays or failures by Vendors to process returns or refunds.

In cases of unresolved disputes, THRIFT 265 will act as a neutral mediator and may issue a final decision based on
available evidence.


10. Shipping Costs for Returns

  • If the return is due to the Vendor’s error (e.g., wrong item, defective product), the Vendor is responsible for return shipping costs.
  • If the return is due to Buyer’s preference or change of mind,
    the Buyer bears the return shipping costs.

11. Exceptions and Special Cases

  • For bulk orders or items marked “Final Sale,” no returns or refunds will be accepted.
  • Vendors offering additional guarantees or warranties must
    disclose these terms in their product listings.

12. Changes to this Policy

THRIFT 265 reserves the right to update or
modify this Policy at any time. Changes will take effect immediately upon
posting on the Site. Buyers and Vendors are encouraged to review this Policy
periodically.

outlines the terms, conditions, and responsibilities for vendors using THRIFT
265 to list and sell their products. By registering as a vendor on THRIFT 265,
you agree to comply with this Policy.


2. Vendor Registration

  • Vendors must provide accurate and up-to-date information during
    registration, including valid identification, contact details, and bank account information.
  • THRIFT 265 reserves the right to verify the information provided and approve or reject any vendor registration at its discretion.
  • Vendors must update their account information promptly if there are any changes.

3. Eligibility Requirements

To become a vendor on THRIFT 265, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age or have legal capacity to enter into contracts.
  • Ensure that your products comply with all applicable laws and regulations in Malawi.
  • Agree to abide by THRIFT 265’s policies and procedures.

4. Vendor Responsibilities

  1. Product Listings:
    • Vendors must provide accurate, complete, and detailed product
      descriptions, including clear images, prices, and specifications.
    • Misleading or false information is strictly prohibited.
  2. Pricing:
    • Prices must be fair and competitive, inclusive of applicable taxes and fees.
    • Vendors may not engage in price manipulation or price gouging.
  3. Order Fulfillment:
    • Vendors are responsible for fulfilling orders promptly within the specified timeframe.
    • Vendors must communicate with buyers regarding any delays or
      issues affecting delivery.
  4. Shipping:
    • Vendors must adhere to the shipping policies outlined by
      THRIFT 265.
    • Accurate packaging, handling, and timely dispatch are required
      to ensure safe delivery.
  5. Customer Support:
    • Vendors must respond to customer inquiries, complaints, and
      disputes professionally and within 48 hours.
    • Unresolved disputes may be escalated to THRIFT 265 for mediation.
  6. Compliance:
    • Vendors must comply with THRIFT 265’s policies, including Prohibited Items, Refund, and Return Policies.
    • Selling counterfeit, illegal, or prohibited products is strictly forbidden and will result in immediate account termination.

5. Commission and Fees

  • THRIFT 265 charges a commission on each sale made through the platform. The current commission structure is as follows:
    • 4% commission per sell.
  • Any additional fees, such as promotional fees or subscription charges, will be communicated clearly to vendors.
  • Commissions and fees are deducted automatically from the sales proceeds before payouts.

6. Payments and Payouts

  • Payments for completed orders will be disbursed to the vendor’s registered bank account or payment method within 3 business days after the buyer confirms receipt of the product.
  • Vendors must ensure their bank account details are accurate and
    up to date.
  • THRIFT 265 is not responsible for delays caused by inaccurate vendor information.

7. Prohibited Items

Vendors may not list or sell the following
items on THRIFT 265:

  • Counterfeit or replica goods.
  • Illegal or restricted products under Malawian law.
  • Hazardous or unsafe items.
  • Items violating intellectual property rights.
  • Additional prohibited items outlined in THRIFT 265’s
    [Prohibited Items Policy].

8. Account Suspension and Termination

  • THRIFT 265 reserves the right to suspend or terminate vendor
    accounts for violations of this Policy, including:

    • Repeated complaints or disputes from buyers.
    • Listing prohibited items.
    • Failure to fulfill orders consistently.
    • Fraudulent or unethical behavior.
    • Suspended or terminated vendors forfeit access to their
    • accounts and any associated privileges.

9. Dispute Resolution

  • In case of disputes with buyers, vendors are expected to resolve issues amicably.
  • Disputes that cannot be resolved directly will be mediated by THRIFT 265.
  • THRIFT 265’s decision on disputes will be final and binding.

10. Intellectual Property

  • Vendors must ensure they have the legal right to sell and distribute the products listed on THRIFT 265.
  • Vendors are prohibited from using copyrighted images, trademarks, or other intellectual property without authorization.

11. Updates to the Vendor Policy

  • THRIFT 265 reserves the right to update or modify this Policy at any time. Updates will take effect immediately upon posting on the
    platform.
  • Vendors will be notified of significant changes via email or the platform dashboard. 
 

Delivery Policy for THRIFT 265

1. Introduction

This Delivery Policy (“Policy”)
explains the terms and conditions related to the shipping and delivery of products purchased on THRIFT 265. By purchasing from our platform, Buyers and Vendors agree to abide by this Policy.


2. Delivery Methods

THRIFT 265 supports the following delivery
methods:

  1. Courier Delivery: Products are delivered directly to the address provided by the Buyer during checkout.
  2. Click-and-Collect: Buyers can
    collect their orders from designated courier pick-up points in regions such as Lilongwe, Blantyre, and others.

3. Delivery Timeline

  • Vendors are required to dispatch orders within 48 hours of receiving confirmation of payment.
  • Delivery times vary depending on the Buyer’s location and the shipping method selected:
    • Local Deliveries: 2-5 business days.
    • international Deliveries: 3-7 business days.
  • THRIFT 265 and Vendors are not responsible for delays caused by
    unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, strikes, or regulatory
    inspections.

4. Shipping Costs

  • Standard Shipping Fees:
    • Shipping fees are calculated based on the size, weight, and destination of the order.
    • Exact costs are displayed at checkout before payment confirmatiom
  • Additional Fees:
    • Home delivery requests are subject to an extra fee of K2,500.
    • An additional fee of K1,500 applies for deliveries outside designated regions.

5. Address Accuracy

  • Buyers are responsible for providing accurate and complete shipping information during checkout.
  • THRIFT 265 and Vendors are not liable for delivery failures due to incorrect addresses provided by Buyers.

6. Order Tracking

  • Once an order is shipped, Buyers will receive tracking details via email or through their THRIFT 265 account.
  • Tracking updates may take up to 24 hours to reflect.

7. Failed Deliveries

  • Unsuccessful Delivery Attempts:
    • If delivery fails due to the Buyer’s unavailability, the courier will attempt to contact the Buyer or reschedule delivery.
    • Additional fees may apply for redelivery.
  • Unclaimed Orders:
    • Orders not collected from pick-up points within 7 days will be returned to the Vendor. Buyers must cover the cost of re-shipping.

8. Delivery Disputes

  • If an order is not delivered within the specified timeframe, Buyers must report the issue to THRIFT 265 within 3 days of the expected delivery date.
  • THRIFT 265 will investigate the matter and coordinate with the Vendor or courier to resolve the issue.

9. Packaging Standards

  • Vendors must ensure products are securely packaged to prevent damage during transit.
  • Damaged products due to insufficient packaging may result in penalties for the Vendor.

10. International Shipping

Currently, THRIFT 265 does not support
international shipping. Orders are limited to delivery within Malawi.

  • THRIFT 265 and Vendors are not liable for delivery failures due to incorrect pick-up point details provided by Buyers.
